Almotamar Net - The Yemen Interior Ministry said Tuesday that Mohammed Atiq Uwaidh al-Aoufi al-Harbi, holding a Saudi nationality surrendered himself o Yemeni authorities he is one of the wanted persons by the Yemeni Saudi security authorities. It said his surrender came before handing him over to Saudi Arabia as part of the security cooperation of the two countries.

almotamar.net - The Yemen Interior Ministry said Tuesday that Mohammed Atiq Uwaidh al-Aoufi al-Harbi, holding a Saudi nationality surrendered himself o Yemeni authorities he is one of the wanted persons by the Yemeni Saudi security authorities. It said his surrender came before handing him over to Saudi Arabia as part of the security cooperation of the two countries.


An official source at the Yemeni Interior Ministry said Mohammed Atiq, a former detainee in Guantanamo and who had previously appeared in a recording on the internet as being a field leader of al-Qaeda terrorist organisation, surrendered himself to Yemeni security authorities while he was present in Shabwa governorate.


The source added that the Yemeni security authorities have later handed him over to Saudi authorities as part of the security coordination between the two countries and in implementation of the agreement on criminals repatriation of wanted persons.

Mohammed Atiq Uwaidh al-Aoufi al-Harbi�s name appeared among 85 persons the Saudi Interior Ministry said they are wanted by security.
