Almotamar.net - Preparations for convening the 4th general conference of Yemeni Journalists Syndicate YJS scheduled in Sana’a on Saturday are continuous. The conference will discuss the YJS statute, the code of journalistic ethics election of the syndicate council and the election of a new chairman.

Yassin al-Masoudi is considered the candidate of journalists unanimity for the post of chairman of journalists. He entertains a large-scale support by different press circles in Yemen as he entertains professional characteristics and long experience in syndicalistic work.

Candidate al-Masoudi, who currently occupies the post of deputy chairman of the Al-Thawra Establishment for Press board of directors and deputy editor in chief of the Al-Thawra newspaper, is one of the most prominent syndicalistic leaders in Yemen through his occupation of a number of posts at the YJS and the Arab Journalists Federation.
