In his weekly press conference the spokesman for the government said Yemen has hoped that the Doha summit to be a summit of the Arab unity after the Yemeni project in this respect had been adopted by the Arab parliament.

He said the Arab unity initiative would for Yemen remain live and existing as it targets the core of problems in the Arab homeland and development of the Arab League to more complete structure and clearer in the legal form.

Concerning the security issues, Mr al-Lawzi said the local and security authorities in Abyan governorate have made a great distance in chasing the outlaw saboteur elements in the city of Jaar through the security campaign of last Saturday. He revealed that 20 of the wanted for security have been arrested since last Saturday , out of 40 wanted elements whom judiciary proved their involvement in a number of crimes violating public security and peace.

Al-Lawzi also pointed out that the Interior Ministry has issued a list of 1543 wanted for their relationship with al-Qaeda organisation, confirming that security forces are exerting great efforts to carry out their plan for hunting those down. He added that security apparatuses managed to obtain new information about the wanted after the capture of one of them in Taiz province.

In reply to a question about the situations in Saada governorate the government spokesman said there is insistence on part of the state on enhancing peace in the governorate and efforts are exerted by the local authority and security forces for the enhancement of this direction, pointing out that peace is built step by step in the governorate.

He has also reiterated denial of the government of what was published in Al-Diyar newspaper and other papers of fabricated information on the existence differences inside the government. He considered what al-Diyar published as mere press fabrications and allegations. He affirmed that the government would sue the newspaper.
