Almotamar.net - Slogans and chants echoed in Sana’a streets on Tuesday chanted by tens of thousands of citizens from different governorates of Yemen living in the capital. The march was headed by political, p [arties civil organisations, members of local councils, scholars, personalities intellectuals, media men, men of letters and the majority are youths and women.
The governor of the capital Nouman Dueid delivered a speech at the massive gathering at Tahrir square saying the 7th of July is a historic day in the live of all the Yemenis marking the defeat of the secessionist scheme by the forces of apostasy and secession in the summer of 1994.
He added that the masses that have taken to the streets on this day confirm their clinging to the unity and rejection of all that the advocates of secession and division are repeating.
For his part the secretary general of the local council at the capital secretariat Amin Jumaan said the 7th of July is an epic of struggle confirming that the unity is a choice that does not accept compromise and sticking to it is a strategic goal.
Other addresses at the rally were delivered by political parties and vigil society organist ions, all of which affirmed clinging to the unity and abandonment of the culture of hatred.
