almotamar.net - An armed subversive group attacked early on Tuesday morning the headquarters of the General People's Congress Party GPC in Abyan governorate with an explosive charge that went off around the headquarters inflicting heavy damage on the GPC offices building and a number of neighbouring houses.

The criminal act also caused heavy damage to headquarters of the opposition Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) party in Yemen, which is neighbouring the GPC offices, shattering all windows of the building, causing cracks in it and damaging its furniture.

Almotamar.net correspondent in Abyan said the blast resulted also in destruction of two cars belonging to a citizen and inflicted heavy damage to a citizen's house near the GPC's building.
