By:The Media Line Staff - Turkish authorities have arrested a member of the Kurdistan Workers� Party (PKK) who they suspected was planning bombings in Turkey.

The arrest was made after three people were killed and more than 90 wounded in a series of five bombings in Marmaris, Istanbul and Anatolia in the space of 24 hours since Sunday night.

The suspect was plotting an attack in Izmir, the Anatolian news agency reported.
The police also detained suspected accomplices and seized plastic explosives during the raid.

Three bombs hit a tourist resort in Marmaris on Sunday night, wounding more than 20 people, many of them tourists.

A group connected to the PKK took credit for the attacks.

In a statement, the group vowed to carry out more attacks and warned tourists to stay away from Turkey.

The PKK wants to establish an independent Kurdish state in an area that partly spans the southeast part of Turkey.
