By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- A prominent leader at the Yemeni Socialist Party (YSP) affirmed his party still in need of funds to support YSP candidates in the governorates during the September elections, stating that such a crisis is still rampant.
Akhbar al-Yawm independent newspaper cited MP Mohammed Saleh al-Qubati, member of the YSP central committee, as saying President Ali Abdullah Saleh had met with the YSP leaderships, where they discussed relations related to the September elections as well as the content of the agreement of principles.
Al-Qubati affirmation came to put an end to the contradictions regarding the meeting which some YSP officials denied.
Well-informed sources told almotamar.net that some YSP leaders kept the matter secret so as not to inform Islah Party of any one-sided action that would escalate the tone of differences among JMP members.

Sources added that YSP leaders asked President Saleh to provide them with funds to help the YSP fulfill its liabilities towards its candidates for local councils. They renewed their high appreciation for President Saleh's stance and his support that made the YSP fifth conference last year a great success
