Almotamar.net - Yemen's Defence Minister General Mohammed Nasser Ahmed affirmed that the elements of insurgency and terror in Saada, north Yemen, that sought to inflict harm on the public and private interests, destruction of houses, killing and displacement of citizens and confronting with armed forces and security have received on Sunday painful strikes at the hands of the armed forces and inflicted on them heavy losses in addition to arresting some of those elements.

In his lecture on Sunday to cadets in the Higher Military academy he said the armed forces are the shield of the homeland and the people and protection of the homeland and defender of the people's gains and destinies. They are the deterrent tool against anyone trying to impinge security and stability of the homeland.

The Defence Minister pointed out that the armed forces prominent contribution to the homeland's development is considered one of the significant arrangements of the military building of the state.
