Almotamar.net - A source at the Supreme Security Commission (SSC) in Yemen stated on Saturday that Yemeni armed forces and security inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the rebellious terrorist elements and destroyed a number of their positions in several areas.
The source has made it clear that in the past few hours armed forces repelled an attack by those terrorist elements in Malahidh, the Red Mountain, Baqim, Saada Saeed and Sufyan axis, inflicting on them heavy losses in lives and equipment, destroying a number of positions of those elements in addition to destruction of their equipment and weapons. Tens of those terrorist elements were captured after forcing them to surrender. The captured elements are under interrogation at present.

The source also pointed out that units from armed forces and security were continuing their advance towards Harf Sufyan �Saada line with the aim securing the road and removing landmines and explosives planted by destruction elements to hinder traffic movement and prevent delivery of supplies to the citizens displaced as a result of the sedition ignited by those elements.

The source said the armed forces and security had in the past two days destroyed a number of targets and gatherings of the terrorist elements in areas of Gharaba, Al Rabie, Kasara, Souk Al-Layl, Al Arous, and Bani Maath and imposed their control on a number of positions where the elements were positioned after they were cleansed from those elements.

As a result of their feeling of defeat the rebel elements intensified of their attacks on citizens and their houses and farms and targeted schools, health and communication centres in addition to planting landmines and explosives on roads.
