Almotamar.net - A Yemeni military source on Thursday said armed forces and security troops continued their confrontation of hostilities and criminal practices the elements of terror and insurgency are persistently practicing and taught them hard lessons and inflicted heavy loses on them in men and weapons in their possession.
The source added that armed forces and security faced up to repeated attacks by rebels on areas of Shabariq, Al Iqab, Al-Sama, Ayn valley and the area located on the rod of Saada-Ayn , inflicting on them heavy losses , among them vehicles carrying weapons and supplies to the rebels.
The source said that units of army and security destroyed terrorists hideouts in Kabshein height and the areas situated on the road of Saada-Ayn and combed the areas near those areas. The source added that military sniping units have sniped at terrorist group that was targeting citizens and members of armed forces and security in the area surrounding Al-Maqash point in addition to repelling of terrorist groups that infiltrated in areas of Ghalfaqan, Al Albaaran, Sudan and AlAnad, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorist elements.
In Harf Sufyan the armed forces defeated desperate attempts by insurgents in Sayfan area and cleared the area from terrorists and destroyed a vehicle on the Harf road. The forces also destroyed a rebels vehicle carrying supplies and weapons on Al-Jawf road. A military engineering unit has also defused a quantity of landmines and explosives planted in the roads in the area of Al-Sannara, the source said.
In Al-Malahidh area the armed forces pounded strongholds of rebels and destroyed their positions in addition to destroying a number of vehicles which were carrying ammunition and weapons for the rebels, confirming that the terrorists sustained heavy losses in men and equipment.
The source said armed forces have shelled a rebels command position in Jamima and Mran and destroyed their hideouts and barricades in Jahwar, Harf valley, Talan, Al-Wareida, Hazm Mountain, Al-Mijzafa valley and Salah village.
