Four leading elements of terrorism and rebellion in Saada province, north of Yemen have been killed and two of others wounded in an attempt of groups of rebels to launch attacks on citizens and armed forces and security men in their positions during an operation of clearing of areas in Saada province from those elements on Monday.
A military source has confirmed to almotamar.net the killing of terrorist Abdullah Ali al-Qallat who is one of prominent leaders of rebels, along with the killing of four others and the wounding of terrorist Abdul Latif Hamoud al-Mahdi, leader of rebels in Al-Maqash area.
The source also pointed out the killing of the leader of rebellion in Damaj area called Nasser Sabhan Kharab and the terrorist nicknamed Abu Thar in the Al-Maqash area, indicating the wounding of the terrorist Hussein Abdullah Maghram.
The source revealed to almotamar.net that army men have found the dead body of a field leader terrorist Yahya Ahmed Hussein al-Mouayad in the area of Al-Maqash, indicating they have identified him in a written document they found in his pocket.
Meanwhile, the military source said armed forces and security troops continued on Monday their operations in hitting rebels and pounding their strongholds, chasing them and clearing many of their positions. He added the remaining of insurgents' pockets in some areas of Saada and Harf Sufyan are being defeated largely due to the successive painful strikes they have been sustaining during the past two days and following the killing of a large number of their leaders and destruction of many of their positions.
A security source in the old city of Saada said they have arrested a terrorist cell composed of nine persons, adding that other terrorist elements were caught while attempting to infiltrate to a security station.
