Almotamar.net - The Specialized First Instance Criminal Court in Yemen ruled on Tuesday giving death sentences to 10 and 15 years imprisonment to 5 of the fifth group of the Houthi terrorist gang in Bani Husheish. In the court session held on Tuesday, chaired by Judge Muhsin Mohammed Alwan, the court condemned all the defendants for the charges against them included in the indictment.

In the court's first sitting on 4 May 2009 the prosecution charged the defendants with taking part in a criminal armed group for targeting armed forces and security men. For hat purpose they collected weapons and munitions and set barricades in Bani9 Husheish and its suburbs. That action resulted in the killing and wounding a number of army and security men, citizens, women and children, destruction, blasting and plundering a number of equipment, military vehicles.

Confessions of the defendants revealed that they participated in confrontations with armed forces and security in many areas in Bani Husheish, made local landmines and stored weapons.

They have also confessed of raising financial donations amounted to YR 105 million two years before the war.
