Almotamar.net - Saudi sources announced Sunday that borders guard forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have arrested one of the leading elements of the Houthi rebels.

Correspondent of Al-Arabiya TV satellite channel said the Saudi borders guard troops arrested Abdullah Ahmed, one of the leaders in al-Houthi group Abdulmalik al-Houthi, one of the leaders in al-Houthi group. He was arrested inside the Saudi territories, east of Jazan town, south-west of Saudi Arabia and weapons and ammunition were in his possession.

With arresting al-Houthi who is believed to leading a fighting group I east of Jazan the Saudi forces have succeeded in dismantling a fighter gang on the border line by arresting a field leader possessing power and effect among his group.

On the arrest of al-Houthi, the Yemeni diplomat Abbas al-Massawi told Al-Arabiya that arresting al-Houthi has a big importance and it is considered a success the Saudi military forces add in defence of their borders. The arrested is among those close to al-Houthi and has important information on this rebellious organisation. Al-Massawi added that al-Houthi has issued a decision of sacking all tribal leaderships and gave it to those, according to his concept, affiliated to Hashimate family, so "it is confirmed for us that Abdullah Ahmed Abdulmalik al-Houthi is one of the ranking and influential leaderships among he Houthis.

Saudi sources had earlier revealed that its security forces arrested during the past two days a number of infiltrators from among the Houthi terrorist elements and captured with them advanced spying devices they were using them in following communications of the Saudi military commanders and deciphering them.

According to the sources intelligence are now investigating into those technological devices in an attempt to reach to the rest of the cells that is thought information supplied to the Houthis was behind several attacks some security points and military sectors came under.
