Almotamar.net - Security sources told Almotamar.net on Monday that units of the Central Security and others from the armed forces have on Monday started a large-scale operation for clearing the city of Saada from the terrorist elements that have been taking mosques and citizens’ houses their strongholds.

The sources added that the operation was done in residential areas of Al-Rout, Al-Shaab, Al-Jarba and Bab Najran after evacuation of citizens from their houses through call with loudspeakers.

The sources added that the operation, up to now, resulted in killing a number of terrorists and the surrender of 25 of their elements to armed forces.

On the other hand, Secretary General of the local council in Saada city Mohammed al-Imad told Almotamar.net that units of the Central Security and armed forces have on Monday entered the city of Saada to clear it from the elements occulting citizens’ houses.

Some of the terrorist elements have surrendered while others escaped to outside the city and others surrendered and the operation is still going on.

Al-Imad said that in the district of Al-Hashra terrorist elements planted landmines in the main road and caused the injury of some citizens because of some landmines explosion.
