Almotamar.net - Security chief of Shabwa province General Ahmed al-Maqdashi said the pre-emptive operation carried out by Yemeni air force jets in Rafdh area of Al-Said district, Shabwa province was destructive, distinguished and qualitative. Many of terrorist leaderships of al-Qaeda organisation were killed, among them terrorist Mohammed Ahmed Saleh Umeur.

The Shabwa security chief added to almotamar.net that the air raid early today targeted a hideout of the terrorist elements achieved its targets directly , killing about 31 elements of terrorist al-Qaeda.

He has clarified that security men surrounded the place and there are corpses unidentified yet but information confirms that the leading member of al-Qaeda Mohammed Ahmed Saleh Umeir who appeared on Al-Jazeera TV Channel recently threatening of revenge for the killed terrorists in last Thursday operation was killed in the raid of Rafdh of Thursday.

Al-Maqdashi affirmed that security apparatuses in Shabwa continue in hunting down al-Qaeda terrorist elements.
