Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Interior Ministry has announced on Thursday the arrest of a youth suspected of his affiliation to al-Qaeda organisation in the province of Mareb.

The Ministry said the suspect is 25 years old he is an inhabitant of Al-Qatan district, Hadramout province. He was captured while he was in the district of Majzar and that was as part of the efforts of security apparatuses in chasing al-Qaeda elements in Mareb province.

The Security Information Centre quoted security apparatuses their confirmation of the operation of chasing the terrorist elements in the province is continuous and that they watch and follow up around the clock the areas where they are suspected elements of al-Qaeda organisation are hiding.

It added that security apparatuses in Mareb province are in a state of alert to confront terror and elements of al-Qaeda organisation on which the grip is tightened in the province.
