Almotamar.net - Yemeni Criminal Court has given on Monday jail sentences of ten -15 years to the group 11 of the Houthi terrorist gang in Bani Husheish. In the court session held Monday under chairmanship of Judge Muhsin Mohammed Alwan the sentence stipulated 15 years imprisonment to 7 of the group, 12 years in prison to 2 other members and 10 years to one member of the group. The court ordered confiscation of the group�s weapons in favour of the state.
The prosecution has faced the defendants with the indictment which included confessions of the defendants during the court�s sessions that they had took part in confrontation against the state in Bani Husheish district under directives by Abdulmalik al-Houthi and that they built position in several areas of the district. They have used in their confrontations different types of weapons, including some Iranian-made weapons, and landmines and Israeli-made machineguns and that the leader of the rebellion group was Abu Abdullah Hussein al-Shamy
The indictment also included their participation in an armed group in implementation of a criminal plot and preparing for perpetration of acts of killing, blasting, destruction, sabotage, following violence and exposing safety and security of the society to danger. For implementing that plot they had prepared heavy and light weapons , ammunition, rockets and explosives, collected money for support , provided means of transport, prepared positions and dug barricades in and around Bani Husheish district and in Saada province. All that resulted in killing and wounding a large number of armed forces and security men , citizens , women and children as well as destruction an destroying an stealing a number of military equipment and means of transport.
