Almotamar.net - An official source at the Yemeni Interior Ministry has announced Wednesday he killing of terrorist Abdullah al-Mihdhar, one of senior leaders of al-Qaeda organisation in Yemen in clashes with security men.

The source said security authorities surrounded since yesterday the house of terrorist al-Mihdhar in Al-Hawta town, district of Mayfaa in the province of Shabwa.

Saba news agency quoted the source as saying that security men have arrested four of al-Qaeda suspects in Shabwa and one of the security men died in martyr I Al-Said area while terrorist elements tried to lessen the pressure on terrorist al-Mihdhar.

The source also warned from consequences of cooperating with terrorist elements or offering t them any help, praising meanwhile the cooperation of the area resident with security men in chasing those elements.

The source affirmed that security apparatuses would continue hunting down terrorist elements until they are arrested.
