Almotamar Net - Specialized First Instance Criminal Court in Yemen condemned Saturday the terrorist Yahya al-Houthi of leading an armed terrorist gang for committing criminal acts. The judgment read out by Judge Muhsin Alwan, stipulated condemning the defendant and punishing him with 15 years imprisonment in absentia. The judgment read out by Judge Muhsin Alwan, stipulated condemning the defendant and punishing him with 15 years imprisonment in absentia.

After that the lawyer Naji al-Ansi, retained for defending the defendant, registered his keeping the right to appeal the sentence during the legal period.

In its indictment the general prosecution accused the defendant al-Houthi of leading a terrorist armed gang for committing criminal acts in many areas of the republic and the capital and preparing the necessary means of weapons, ammunition, explosives, means of transport and communication deceives.

The indictment pointed out the gang�s carrying out a criminal plot and killing a number of citizens, members of armed forces and security , destruction n of public and private property , attacking constitutional institutions, and planning for assassinating a number of personalities, among them the American ambassador , disobeying the laws and broadcasting prejudiced news for disturbing the public peace and security. The gang is accused of seeking help of foreign sides against the state and receiving financial support for implementing its criminal plan
