Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh led on Sunday mourners bidding a final farewell to the intellectual and educationalist Ahmed Jaber Afif, Chairman of Al-Afif Culture Foundation.

President Saleh praised Afif's glories and virtues, pointing out that with his departure the country have lost a national and sincere man who devoted all his efforts to serve the homeland and its generations.

Afif had a tangible role in the educational and culture areas. He held several positions including the post of Minister of Education and Rector of Sana'a University and played a major role in establishing Al-Afif Cultural Foundation which had a prominent role in supporting the cultural and literary movement in Yemen.
