has announced that that the Arab League (AL) Council took its decision in its meeting in Cairo on Wednesday  at the foreign ministerial level to present Yemen’s  initiative aimed at activating of cooperation and join Arab action to the next Arab summit  scheduled to convener in the Libyan city of Sert on 27 March 2010.

has announced that that the Arab League (AL) Council took its decision in its meeting in Cairo on Wednesday at the foreign ministerial level to present Yemen’s initiative aimed at activating of cooperation and join Arab action to the next Arab summit scheduled to convener in the Libyan city of Sert on 27 March 2010.

The minister said the AL General Secretariat gave the member state time until 14 of this month to send their remarks or suggestions concerning the Yemeni initiative. He added that the Yemeni initiative calls for enhancing the Arab joint cooperation to proceed to new horizons through which the Arab nation would be able to face the challenges threatening it.

It is to be recalled that the Arab Parliament had adopted the initiative that aims activation of the Arab Joint Action by establishment the Union of Arab States. The initiative was announced previously by President Ali Abdullah Saleh before the meeting of the past Arab
Summit in Doha, Qatar.
