Almotamar.net - In the conclusion of meetings of the 22nd Arab summit held in the Libyan city of Surt on Sunday, the Arab leaders approved the formation of a 5-member committee to supervise preparation of a document for the development of the system of the Arab joint action.
That came in Surt Document issued at the conclusion of the summit on the development of the Arab joint action.
The committee is composed of President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen, the Libyan Leader Muamar Gaddafi, Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and the participation of the Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa.
The Surt Document affirmed that the committee would supervise preparation of a document on development of the system of the Arab joint action to be presented to the member states in prelude to discussing it by foreign ministers before presenting it to the extraordinary summit scheduled to be held next October.
The Document mentioned that the 5-member committee would hold consultation with Kings and Presidents for crystallizing the draft document for the development mentioned afore.
The Arab leaders have also agreed Sunday to hold an extraordinary summit next September to follow up results of the 22nd Arab summit held in the Libyan city of Surt.
Coordinator of the Libyan Foreign Ministry Ahmed Qathaf al-Dam said the Arab leaders agreed to hold an extraordinary Arab summit.
Qathaf al-Dam expected convening the summit during September or October in Libya.
Meetings of the 22nd Arab summit began Saturday in the Libyan city of Surt and attended by 14 of the Arab elders in addition to heads of state, foreign ministers and representatives of Arab leaders.
The statement of the summit concluded Sunday in Libya said the Arab leaders have welcomed the initiatives, proposal and ideas presented by many of the member states in this regard.
