In the sitting chaired by Judge Muhsin Alwan the defence body of the defendants composed of lawyers Ali al-Asimi, Abdul Rab al-Murtadha, Ahmed al-Dailami, Ibrahim Sharafudin and Ahmed al-Bahri asked the Judge to step down from the case because of his pre-conviction of verdict. The court then decided to postpone the trial to next Sunday in order to decide into request of the defendants defence body.

The criminal prosecution had earlier charged the four defendants Muamar al-Abdali, Walid Mohammed Sharafudin Abdullah Ali al-Dailami and Sadiq Abdulrahman al-Sharafi of contacting with a foreign country and illegal communication with those who are working for the interest of Iran for carrying out intellectual and political projects serving illegitimate interests in Yemen. They had delivered to them reports on the political, economic and social situations in Yemen in addition to information and photos of some military and security installations, seaports, islands and sea positions.
