Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen has on Thursday received a phone call from his US counterpart Barack Obama in which they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing and developing them.

The US president affirmed that his government was studying conditions of the Yemeni prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and the process of returning them to Yemen for rehabilitation, pointing out that they would be released this week.

For his part the Yemeni President reiterated Yemen�s demands for handing over all the Yemeni prisoners with their files, calling the attention that the Yemeni government would take all legal measures towards them according to those files and their rehabilitation.

The US President also emphasized the US support and backing Yemen�s security and stability and pointed out that he would continue communication with partners of development in Yemen of sisterly and friendly countries , the World Bank and International Monetary Fund to muster international efforts to support Yemen�s economy in the manner to help it overcome difficulties and hindrances Yemen is facing in order to stabilize its security and stability as well as its security efforts in fighting terrorism.
