Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Minister of Industry and Trade Dr Yahya al-Mutawakil has said Sunday the government has for a year and a half worked for preparing a strategy for food security in cooperation with the World bank (WB) and all concerned government institutions as well as the private sectors studies centres.

Al-Mutawakil added , in a press conference held in Sana�a Sunday, his ministry was in the process of preparing for the symposium on food rationalizing and food security in Yemen to be held in Sana�a Monday. The symposium is to be organized by consumer and spending rationalizing society. The Minister said they have the strategy and would be presented after completion of its discussion to the cabinet for ratification.

Minister al-Mutawakil said the strategy is not confined to issues of production and trading wit essential commodities but extends to other issues some of which are connected with the necessary economic reforms.

He emphasized the necessity of having strategic stock for the economy in Yemen to alleviate international crises that occur from time to time.
