Amotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid on Tuesday a visit to the district of al Himah al Dakhilia, Sana'a. He was received by officials, social figures and citizens.

On his visit, Saleh inspected the conditions of the people and familiarized with progress on the implementation of some developmental projects.

He urged the authorities to speed their implementation, including the Sana'a-Himah road.

Saleh also stressed the importance of the local councils' role in following up the people's issues and setting out plans for developmental projects and their management.

He pointed to the government's inclination to give the local governments more authority to enable them to administrate the local market and contribute to the development process as he urged to build more dams to preserve rainwater and feed groundwater as well as achieving agricultural development.
