Almotamar.net - After the successful security operation in the district of Luder , Abyan province last August carried out by units from armed forces and the security in which the city was cleared from al-Qaeda organisation terrorist elements in addition of capturing a number of them, the security authorities are presently continuing their open war on al-Qaeda organisation . At present the confrontations with al-Qaeda organisation elements are taking place in the district of Mayfaa district, Shabwa province. Security forces are presently engaged in fierce confrontation with armed elements from al-Qaeda to rid the area of Al-Houta of Mayfaa district of those elements that have used some desert areas as centres for training and hiding security forces have set up a security cordon to besiege the terrorist elements and security-wanted persons in order to capture them.

Local sources say among those terrorist elements are foreigners, among them Saudis. The elements are trying to mix among the residents there. Meanwhile, specialized units of antiterrorism have tightened their siege around the positions where those terrorists are concentrating in Al-Houta area after those elements had committed attacks on a number of security and armed forces men as well as citizens and took control of some houses in Al-Houta town, using them as posts for committing their opinions.

The same sources affirmed that among those elements are terrorists that came from the province of Marib and others who had escaped from the city of Luder following the painful strikes they received at the hands armed forcers and security men. Those elements aim at offering support to their elements besieged inside the city of Al-Houta.

The governor of Shabwa province Dr Ali Hassan al-Ahmedi has emphasized to 26september.net website that the siege imposed on the terrorist elements barricading in some citizens� houses in Al-Houta town ands in other desert and tribal areas will continue until the elimination of this terrorist group or forcing them to surrender and clear the area from them.
