Almotamar.net - Germany encourages holding the national dialog among Yemeni political powers and inside the country, a German diplomat said on Tuesday.

During a meeting with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the German ambassador to Yemen Michael Klor-Berchtold has refuted news attributed to him on holding the national dialog out side the country.

He said that the news is groundless, affirming that Germany does not interfere in Yemeni internal affairs.

Klor-Berchtold renewed Germany�s stand in support of Yemen and its keenness on the success of Yemen Friends Group�s meeting in New York in the manner realizing Yemen�s hopes from it.


President Saleh hailed the supportive stances of Germany on Yemen's unity, security and stability, highlighting the important role Germany plays within Yemen's Friend Group and European Union to support development in Yemen.


The meeting also discussed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation and horizons of enhancing them. In addition, the meeting discussed Germany�s role in the Yemen Friends Group as well as the issues related to the u [coming meeting of the Group scheduled to be held in New York next Friday.

President Saleh has praised Germany�s stances which support Yemen and its unity, security and stability, pointing out the significance o the role that Germany can play within the frame of Yemen Friends and in the European Union to support the process of development in Yemen.
