Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Tuesday with the scholars committee formed early in September as a reference for the national issues, including the national dialog.

The scholars have acquainted President Saleh with the committee's future plan, including contacting with the related-dialog parties and experts to realize the dialog's desired goals in addition to establishing a council for Fatwa for the country and sub-councils in the governorates.

The President underlined the important role scholars and clerks in enlightening the community and in encountering extremism and terrorism that damage the country's interests.

Saleh highlighted the efforts achieved for reconciliation and tackling several issues via dialog, indicating to the bad impacts on the country from the acts of the terrorists, who disobey Islamic teachings and deform the image of Islamic and Muslims.

The scholars valued highly the president's care for the scholars, considering the establishment of the committee is the right step to serve the public. They affirmed that they will spare no efforts to realize the interests of the nation.
