Almotamar Net - Security Chief of Shabwa province Ahmed Ali al-Maqdashi has said Wednesday security authorities have captured 28 persons of terrorist elements and those suspected of their affiliation with al-Qaeda organisation in the area of Al-Houta of Shabwa province which is presently a scene of fierce confrontations between forces of army and security on the one hand and armed groups from al-Qaeda and the outlaws.

Almotamar.net - Security Chief of Shabwa province Ahmed Ali al-Maqdashi has said Wednesday security authorities have captured 28 persons of terrorist elements and those suspected of their affiliation with al-Qaeda organisation in the area of Al-Houta of Shabwa province which is presently a scene of fierce confrontations between forces of army and security on the one hand and armed groups from al-Qaeda and the outlaws.

Al-Maqdashi pointed out that the captured elements were at present subjected to investigations to identify their identities. He affirmed that security bodies and units of combating terror continue their operations against al-Qaeda organisation in Al-Houta district of Shabwa province. Those units are engaged in violent battles for clearing Al-Houta area from those elements that took some desert areas as centres for training and hiding. Those elements have also taken citizens as human shields security forces are still imposing security cordon against the terrorist elements to arrest them or until they surrender. In a statement to 28septemnber.net, the security chief said first information confirm defeat of terrorist elements and attempting to escape but the security bodies would continue chasing the terrorist elements.
