Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has on Wednesday confirmed that democracy is the civilized choice which Yemen committed itself to for achieving the development and progress in Yemen.

That came during the President�s meeting on Wednesday with Less Campbell, the official in the American Democratic institute for the Middle East and Africa.

The meeting has also reviewed activities of the American Democratic Institute for supporting the democratic pursuit in Yemen. The meeting has also discussed the progress of the comprehensive national dialogue for enhancement of the principle of democracy and holding the elections in their date on 27 of April 2011.

The President has praised activities of the American Democratic Institute for supporting democracy in Yemen.

For his part Less Campbell praised the democratic experience in Yemen and the ongoing dialogue among the political forces in Yemen, indicating they are a positive step received consideration and admiration of many in the world.

He has affirmed that the United States of America and the Democratic Institute support the dialogue and the democratic process in Yemen and holding the elections.
