Almotamar.net - Deputy Speaker of the Yemeni parliament Akram Abdullah -Attiyah and the head of the General People’s Congress (GPC) parliamentary block Sultan al-Barakani discussed in Sana’a on Monday with the Palestinian ambassador to Yemen Bassim Abdullah al-Agha a number of topics related to developments of the Palestinian cause and the stands towards them at both regional and international levels.

The Palestinian ambassador gave explanation on those developments and the course of events in the Palestinian territories, expressing his appreciation and evaluation of the Palestinian people and their leaders for the Yemeni people and their leader President Ali Abdullah Saleh for the honourable stands in supporting the Palestinian issue.

Attiyah and al-Barakani have renewed the stand of the Yemeni people and their political leadership led by President Ali Abdullah Saleh in supporting the Palestinian issue with its tracks and choice of its people until victory and establishment of the Palestinian state on its national soil and its capital Al-Quds.

On the other hand, Attiyah held a meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Yemen and discussed with him aspects of parliamentary cooperation between Yemen and China and ways of enhancing and developing them.

The two sides emphasized the importance of continuation in exchange of official and people’s visits and exchange of parliamentary experiences and different areas of development.

Yemeni News Agency Saba reported that the Yemeni Deputy Speaker praised the existing friendship relations between the two countries.
