Almotamar.net - The ruling General People’s Congress (GPC) party , Sana’a branch expressed Sunday its condemnation and denunciation of the attack on the house of Sana’a province governor and the head of the executive body of the GPC Nouman Dueid by gunmen that are followers of the leading opposition member Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar.

The leadership of the GPC in Sana’a province has followed up the regrettable incidents against the house and guards of the governor of Sana’a province when gunmen following Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar opened fire Saturday evening on the house and the guards, killing one citizen and inuring three others.

The GPC considered the aggression as a terrorist act violating the conduct of difference in opinion, the values, laws and norms and traditions of the Yemeni people.

In its statement the leaderships, members and supporters of the GPC in Sana’a expressed their solidarity and full stand by the governor Dueid against any attack on him and affirmed their solidarity with families of the victims of the criminal incident and demanded security authorities to arrest the aggressors and those behind them and send them to justice.
