Hadi welcomed McGuinness, praising the Yemeni-British relations as well as the UK support to Yemen, particularly during the crisis that swept Yemen in 2011. He lauded efforts exerted by the British Ambassador to Yemen Jane Marriott, pointing out that she along with the Group of Ten Countries adopting the GCC-mediated initiative work to find consensus amid Yemenis.
