	<description>The cabinet Wednesday meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Khaled Bahah, discussed a number of proposals and visions to improve performance of the civil service and activate its organizational, planning, consultative and supervisory roles.

The cabinet session discussed a presentation by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance over the current situation of the public employments and the necessary reforms as well as improving the public administration since it is the core foundation to serve social and economic service.

It also reviewed the big consequences due to the lack of implementing retirement system for employees who reached either retirement conditions as per the applicable law and its negative consequences.

In this respect, Minister of Civil Service and Insurance made clear that the number of employees who meet retirement conditions and not retired up to 2014 reached 19, 555 at the central and local levels.

The cabinet asked all concerned ministries and institutions to take the prompt procedures and measures to apply retirement law.
