<description>Amnesty International has warned of the danger of cluster bombs dropped by the Saudi-led coalition on civilians in Yemen, stressing the north of the country has turned into "de facto minefields".

Children are particularly at risk of picking up and playing with submunitions, which they mistake for toys, given their small size and shape, the London-based organization said in a statement issued on Monday.

"Children and their families returning home in northern Yemen after a year of conflict are at grave risk of serious injury and death from thousands of unexploded cluster bomb submunitions," the organization said, following a 10-day research trip to Sa'ada, Hajjah, and Sana'a provinces.

Amnesty International said it found, on its most recent mission, evidence of US, UK and Brazilian cluster munitions used by the Saudi Arabia-led coalition forces.
