Almotamar.net - Aden Museum received Saturday 14 antique pieces fating to eras of the Yemeni states of Qataban and Ausan, among them two famous antique pieces known as Al-Dhalie Lady and Baraa which is a statue of bronze of a woman from Shabwa. The museum has also received large statures of the kings of Qataban state including one of King Yazduq Al Faraam dating to about the year 500 BC.

Returning the archaeological pieces comes after great effort exerted by Dr Rajaa Bataweel, director of the Antiquities Authority Office in Aden after participation of the pieces in international exhibitions in European cities and capitals since 1997.

Ms Bataweel expressed her appreciation of all those who helped her in restoring these antique pieces owned by Aden Museum and invited people interested and specialists to visit the museum and see the antiquities in addition to a very rare and huge piece depicting a winged lion. Ms Bataweel presented the return of antiquities to the Yemeni woman on the International Women's Day.
